aside listens to a lot of music. For the past year or so it’s been mostly vtuber stuff exclusively through YouTube Music. Otherwise, it’s mostly アニソン or Touhou.
Per Mori Calliope, the best way to show support (oshikatsu) for a music-focused holomem is to stream on Spotify and buy the physical releases.
Music setup
Not quite an audiophile, but aside appreciates a good pair of cans.
- Sony WF-1000XM4
- Sony WH-1000XM5
- Qudelix 5K Wireless DAC + Beyerdynamics Custom One Pro
Scrobbling
Basically it’s the act of recording every music track you listen to. This is typically achieved by using an audio player or scrobbling app track every listen and upload it to a web service.
- Scrobbling Hell by Brendan: A music aficionado gives an overview of scrobbling and how he consolidated listens from various devices and services. Specifically, Brendan moved from last.fm to ListenBrainz.
- Scrobbling and it feels so good by Kris: Scrobbling on an iOS devices and how she got a “Now listening” WordPress widget to work.
What’s the point? It’s fun, whether you’re analyzing changes in your listening habits or just creating a collage!
Karaoke/Lyrics
Songs are much more fun with synced lyrics to sing along to! Many music players support .lrc
files and commercial streaming services typically have it as a feature as well!
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of apps to get/make .lrc
files yourself!
- lrcget official client of lrclib
- karlyriceditor offline native app
- LRC maker online app
